There's something so tranquil about the environment here at Matara, whether it's the serene atmosphere of a garden ceremony or the elegant details of the hilarium. Most of all, the team I work with is truly what makes this job so special. We work in harmony, each of us bringing our strengths to the table to ensure every event goes smoothly. I am also inspired to do my best when I look around the house and the grounds and see how beautiful this place is. I think to myself I’m the head chef here and work with really friendly, genuinely nice people. Finding that is hard in this day and age.”

“At Matara I can fully indulge in my passion for gardening, creating new areas for guests to enjoy and maintaining areas to bring the most out of the garden and its special plants. The gardens are extensive and varied with so many different places to discover as they grow and change through the seasons. I love to watch and work with nature as it brings out the best in the garden and myself. I moved out of London to live here in the Cotswolds with my young family, I wasn’t sure what the next chapter would be. Through chance I found a place here and felt right at home (or in the garden) Matara is a truly unique venue and provides a special place for guests, and being a part of that is great! “
