The Great British Florist | Florist
The Great British Florist explains how flowers will be original, expressive, and will be created to work with your ideas and themes for your day.
What is your idea of the perfect wedding?
Wild – lots of foliage, feathers, candlelight beautiful blooms and lots of laughter!
What is your greatest fear when you are working on a wedding?
That something may happen to the flowers on delivery! Not to fear though – if anything were to happen we come and replace/fix whatever needs our attention!
What is your best trait that helps you be so great at your job?
Being able to translate peoples ideas into a reality; through drawing, photos, words and whatever else we can use!
What is your greatest extravagance that helps you get through the day?
The amount of cups of tea we have! Anything less then 5 is a poor day!
What is the best theme you have seen at a wedding?
Suspended flowers to make a canopy/curtain – beautiful!
What makes an ideal wedding?
When the couple are truly happy, and so relaxed in each others company that they create a little bubble for a short amount of time that guest become apart of.
If you could change one thing about a wedding, what would it be?
That it’s only one day! Wedding weekends/mini-breaks should definitely become a thing.
What is the one thing you can’t live without in your job?
Where do you draw inspiration from for your work?
Everywhere! Pintrest is fantastic but as we are in the beautiful countryside of Hereford we only have to look around for daily inspiration.
What mistake do you see couples make over and over again on their day?
That they try and keep everyone else happy – and forget about themselves! Remember this day is about celebrating the newly married couple and their love for each other.
What is your motto?
Smile and the world smiles with you.
Is there something you would like to add?
Thank you so much to Matara for choosing our bouquet for Holly and Tom Child’s wedding as the Best of the Best for Bridal Bouquets! We love what we do and it’s lovely to hear you do to!
