Celebrations of Life

We host celebrations of life with the space for you to create and express

the passing of a loved one in your own unique way. 

​

Matara is set within 28 acres of outstanding natural beauty, with dedicated strolling gardens, providing a natural setting for a meaningful alternative to a traditional funeral. A place to visit to remember a loved one and reconnect with the natural world.

Offerings

A celebration of life is the deep need for family and friends to participate in honouring the passing of a loved one, and to tell their story of a meaningful life.

​

We offer you to dedicate a tree within our community parkland in memory, an act of comfort, grace and remembrance. This can be part of a service OR you may arrange to privately dedicate a tree in our Memorial Garden.

We have created a list of funeral services and Celebrants who we have worked with and really believe all of them will help you create a most memorable Celebration of Life. Also, learn about the Grief Project which is dedicated to understanding grief as a creative and active process.

Kingscote Park House, on the property, is the perfect place for both sides of the family to stay before & after the wedding.

Matara is set on 28 acres. With water features, labyrinths & mazes to be discovered, the land is a marvel.

We were so fortunate to be able to turn to Matara at such a difficult and tragic time.

​

Following the loss of our Son Rory, Matara became our Spiritual Home.

It is a place we could be surrounded by beauty, nature and love, which greatly helped with the healing of our loss.

 

We found Matara gave us the space and environment to come together in our own way to celebrate his life.
